Among McMurry’s needs at the dawn of our second century, none is more pressing than an expansion and modernization of the Shirley L. and Mildred Garrison United Methodist Student Center. It has served the University well since its completion in 1979. Our imperative to THRIVE requires a new building that fits the needs of McMurry’s students, faculty, staff, and visitors. It must excite, inspire, and engage them — a structure that serves, both symbolically and functionally, as the heart of campus.
Centennial Iris Garden
Join us for the return of the beloved Iris Garden! Our new Iris bulbs will soon be planted on campus and will be a joyous addition for seasons to come. You can participate in the Iris Garden planting through your gifts or presence at the Iris Garden Planting and Unveiling ceremony.

Nearly 80 percent of McMurry students receive financial support to fund their education. Because of you, McMurry graduates go on to make positive changes in businesses, communities, churches, schools, and beyond.
Areas of Impact
The undergraduate experience at McMurry is unlike large institutions; it’s personal and transformational. Your gifts to the McMurry Fund are foundational and touch every aspect of campus, from student life to grounds and maintenance, student scholarships, and faculty staff support. Gifts to the McMurry Fund go to work immediately and change lives daily.
McMurry's success relies on our ability to consistently attract and retain students. In order to ensure access for high-achieving students from all backgrounds, McMurry commits significant resources to merit- and need-based scholarships. Scholarships directly support students by lessening the need for additional student loans to pay for a McMurry Education.
Providing an academically rigorous and well-rounded education is McMurry University’s primary focus. Departments on campus are supported by the institution and donors who believe in the mission of McMurry and share a belief in a particular academic department. Support for our Academic Departments provides the resources for our students to learn and grow.
Donor support for McMurry athletics enhances our scholar-athletes’ experience and puts us in a position to launch leaders of tomorrow while competing for championships. Your gift supports our more than 500 scholar-athletes and provides access to the resources they need to excel in the classroom and in competition. McMurry coaches, faculty and staff prepare scholar-athletes to live out McMurry’s Core Values as professionals, family members, and civic leaders well beyond their collegiate years.

Endowed Gifts
ndowments are a powerful investment in McMurry’s future, as they deliver a dependable, perpetual source of funding. Endowed gifts are unique because they are invested, and each year a percentage of the return is made available to the university to support critical initiatives. Earnings from the general endowment of the University keep tuition costs down and help McMurry operate more efficiently by easing fluctuation in tuition income. Gifts of any size can be made to the general endowment; however, new endowments can be created with a minimum gift of $25,000.
Estate Gifts
There are many options for leaving your legacy through planned gifts to McMurry University.
