For students who want to purse advanced degrees, McMurry has ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS with Hardin-Simmons University, Parker University, Texas Chiropractic College, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy and UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, as well as with the University of North Dakota, which offers an articulation agreement unique to this degree program: dual Bachelor of Science degrees in chemistry from McMurry and chemical engineering from the University of North Dakota.

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
The Bachelor of Science in chemistry is primarily laboratory based, and it offers a solid foundation for such careers as industrial process chemistry, pollution control and remediation, laboratory work, or commercial or governmental research.
The chemistry minor offers a fundamental understanding of the science of chemistry in theory and practice. The curriculum can complement many different majors for careers as a veterinary technician, food scientist, technical writer, wildlife biologist, nurse, laboratory manager or technologist, teacher, and more.
Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry
A Bachelor of Arts in chemistry offers a broader view of chemistry with a foundation in the central science. You’ll have access to many electives that allow you to align your degree with your career plans, which can include vocations in healthcare administration, industrial sales, patent law, science journalism, policy advising, teaching and more.
Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry
The Bachelor of Science in biochemistry studies life at the molecular and chemical levels. The degree program opens the door careers in science, healthcare, education, law, government or business, as well as advanced degrees in pharmacy, dentistry, physical therapy, chiropractic and more.
A minor in biochemistry adds a scientific dimension to bachelor’s degrees in business, biology, kinesiology and interdisciplinary studies, which can form the foundation for careers in healthcare, law, policy or industry.
Many bachelor’s degree graduates pursue jobs as educators, laboratory technicians, pollution control specialists, inspectors, science writers, forensic chemists, laboratory development managers and industrial process chemists.
